The price of LCD panel is loose. The color TV market is beginning to “recover”
2017-06-12

After entering June, the weather began to heat up along with the color TV market beginning to pick up just like the current weather. According to the latest data from Zhongyikang, the market began to slowly pick up in May after experiencing the worst start. Especially the offline market began to enter the growth period, which increased by 4.1% in May and became to “rise” stage.
According to industry analysts, the reason for the recovery is that raw materials such as upstream panels have not risen, and they have started to loosen in June. It has caused the price of the whole machine to start to fall, especially in the 39.5~43 inch segment. The price has dropped slightly due to rapid decline in demand and oversupply. In addition, the main size of the 55-inch TV also began to tilt at the price end. According to industry insiders, the market will pick up when the price of the whole machine is “loose”. This also fully proves that price is the real "barometer" of the market.
In terms of the specific TV size shipments in the colour TV market in May, the 55-inch TV has become the “first size”, accounting for 32.3%. The second one is 32-inch, but the proportion has dropped to 14.9%. The third one is 43-inch size TV, which only occupied 8.8%. The average price of TV sets was 4018 yuan, decreased 1.3 percentage points from April.
In terms of technology stream, Quantum Dot TV became the “Prevailing Product” in the color TV market in May. Both sales volume and sales volume came to the market top, with the market accounting for 2.3% while the same period only 1.3%. The average price was 12,151 yuan, which was also 1,325 yuan over the same period. According to industry sources, quantum dot TV continued to be popular and strong in May, which is an opportunity for brands such as Hisense and TCL.
